NY Theta Chapter Scholarship Fund

4% of the fair market value of the CSF’s assets is available to be distributed as scholarships each year. Scholarship criteria are set by the undergraduates, and approved by the RTC. Scholarship award money is directly deposited into the RIT students' accounts of the respective winners to ensure that all donations to the CSF remain tax-deductible. In any one academic semester, RTC will not award more than 50% of the available funds to distribute.

Minimum criteria for each scholarship are:

The winners must not be in financial debt to the chapter.

The winners must currently be in “Academic Good Standing” as defined by the chapter.

Phi Kappa Psi Adam Brody Hero's Award

The Adam Brody Hero's Award provides an annual scholarship to one (1) RIT student.

Eligible students must be enrolled as full-time students at RIT, and in good academic standing. Applicants must submit a 300-500 word essay demonstrating high moral caliber and the importance of personal sacrifice for the well-being of others.

Applications will be submitted to RIT’s Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL)  office for review and selection. The chapter receives and reviews the applications, and decides the recipients of each scholarship.

Available funds may be used to support scholarships and the cost to create and maintain a plaque to be displayed prominently in an appropriate location with the cumulative names of each year’s winner.

This scholarship is endowed with RIT and has met its endowment target of $25,000. To donate to this fund, please send a message to the RTC board.

Brian Bauer Memorial Scholarship

The Brian Bauer Memorial Scholarship will generate two (2) scholarships annually. The first scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Pittsburgh's Thomas Jefferson High School. This award will celebrate Brian's multitude of talents as both an Honor Roll Student and 4-Sport Athlete. The second scholarship will be awarded to an RIT student and member of Phi Kappa Psi, New York Theta.

This scholarship is endowed with the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation and has met its endowment target of $25,000. To donate to this fund, please send a message to the RTC board.

Robert Parada Endowed Scholarship Fund

This fund supports the leadership development initiatives of the chapter, including sponsoring deserving undergraduates to Phi Kappa Psi leadership development events (GAC, NLI, etc.). While the minimum endowment target of $25,000 has been reached, the fund continues to grow to support larger/more number of annual scholarships.
